As Director of International Trade and Intellectual Property, Jesse Feder oversees the Business Software Alliance’s global efforts to improve levels of intellectual property protection and market access for computer software. The Business Software Alliance is an association of the world’s leading software companies and their hardware partners. BSA’s members create approximately 90% of the office productivity software in use in the U.S. and around the world.
Before joining BSA, Feder served as a senior policy advisor in the United State Copyright Office. During his tenure at the Office he participated in the negotiation and drafting of a number of trade pacts, as well as numerous elements of domestic copyright legislation. He headed the Office of Policy and International Affairs for two years.
Prior to joining the Copyright Office he was in private practice in New York.
Feder received his B.A. from Yale and his J.D. from Columbia Law School.
